Jott for BlackBerry

Jott for BlackBerry is a powerful addition to your BlackBerry that lets you reply to emails with your voice, eliminating the need for time-consuming and thumb-tiring typing. It is seamlessly integrated into the email application you already use, and is a huge leap forward for BlackBerry lovers who are frequently mobile, in the car, or in situations where a hands-free method of replying to emails is appropriate.

Jott for BlackBerry currently works on most 8800, 8300 (Curve) and 8100 (Pearl) model phones with most OS versions. Try it free on your device for one week.

To download directly to your BlackBerry, visit www.jott.com/bb on your BlackBerry web browser.

FAQ

General Questions

Q: What BlackBerry models does Jott for BlackBerry work with?
A: Jott for BlackBerry works on most 8800, 8300 (Curve) and 8100 (Pearl) model phones with most OS versions. At this time we do not support any other models.

Q: I have a BlackBerry from the list of supported handset series, yet when I login to download the application, I am told that it is not supported. What gives?
A: BlackBerry ships new models (e.g. 8130) for a specific series (e.g. 8100 series) from time to time. We might have not yet tested the specific new model that you own. Send email to bb (at) jott.com and we'll let you know if your model is supported. It's also useful if you include your OS version when you do this. You can find this information under 'Options' > 'About' : send us the first three lines on that screen.

Q: How can I "test drive" this application?
A: You will receive an email welcoming you to Jott for BlackBerry. "Reply All with Jott" to that email about five times to get accustomed to the user interface, latency and accuracy of the email responses you will generate with the application. We think once you start using this application, you will not go back to thumbing replies. However, it's a good idea to see it work end to end. Naturally, the more clearly you speak, the better the transcription will be..

Q: Will this work with my Bluetooth headset?
A: Yes, it should work with most Bluetooth headsets. Once you are on the "Reply with Jott" application screen, just click on the BlackBerry button to set this option.

Q: Can I reply with Jott to more than one person?
A: Yes, in the email menu, you'll see options for "Reply with Jott" and "Reply All with Jott." These function the same way as standard "Reply" and "Reply All" in terms of who will receive your reply.

Q: Will this work with my company-issued BlackBerry?
A: It depends on what your company's download policies are. While many companies allow people to download additional applications to their BlackBerry devices, some do not. If you cannot download the application, please talk with someone in your IT department.
