Jott for QuickBooks

Jott for QuickBooks allows you to easily add to-dos & reminders to QuickBooks with a simple call to Jott. You can also email or text in your updates – letting you stay on top of your business, even when you’re away from your computer.

Jott for QuickBooks currently works with QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier and QuickBooks Enterprise editions. It also requires that you’ve installed the QuickBooks Web Connector.

How does it work?

To use Jott for QuickBooks from your phone:

1. Call 1-866-568-8123 (1-866-JOTT-123)
2. Say "QuickBooks" when asked whom to Jott
3. Speak your message
4. Your message will be turned into text and added to your QuickBook’s to-do list.

To use Jott for QuickBooks via text message:

Simply send a text with the word "QuickBooks" followed by your message to 40101.

To use Jott for QuickBooks via email:

Simply send an email with the subject of "QuickBooks" and your to-do in the body to jott@jott.com.

How do I install Jott for QuickBooks?

Before you install Jott for QuickBooks:

Verify that you are using QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier or QuickBooks Enterprise
Make sure your have the QuickBooks Web Connector
1. Check for the "Web Connector" program under Start > All Programs > QuickBooks
2. Or, download the latest version of the QuickBooks Web Connector

To install Jott for QuickBooks:

1. Login to download Jott for Quickbooks

Step 1

2. Click OK to authorize Jott for QuickBooks.

3. When prompted, select the option to "Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running" and click "Continue".

4. Click "Done" when asked to confirm the access.

5. The QuickBooks Web Connector will open with the Jott for QuickBooks; type in your Jott password and press Enter.

FAQ

Q: Which version of QuickBooks do I need?
A: Jott for Quick Books works with QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier and QuickBooks Enterprise. It does not currently work with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Simple Start or QuickBooks for Mac.

Q: What is the QuickBooks Web Connector and how do I get it?

The QuickBooks Web Connector is a software application that runs on Microsoft Windows that enables specially designed web-based applications, like Jott for QuickBooks, to exchange data with QuickBooks products.
To check and see if you have the QuickBooks Web Connector. Go to Start > All Programs > QuickBooks on your Windows PC and look for the "Web Connector" program
