We’ve made a slight change in the system to help improve our voice recognition’s ability to understand a.m. and p.m. No more setting that reminder for 8:30 a.m. and getting it at 8:38 p.m. (Oops!)
When you call 866-JOTT-123 and say “Reminder”, you will now be prompted to say the day, then a.m./p.m., then your message. Let us know how this is working for you!

You are in the car, driving on the way to work when you hear the DJ talking about the new iPod Nano, and you think to yourself how much your niece would love one. Instead of trying to remind yourself to get that for her for the rest of the trip to your office, let Jott do all the work for you. Starting today you can call 866-JOTT-123 and Jott to Amazon!
When you get to work, all you have to do is check your email and Jott will have sent you the top five results of your search item from Amazon complete with pricing info and customer reviews.

Then just click the item you want, and get sent to Amazon where you can easily add it to your shopping cart (or Wish List if you decide maybe you’d like one too).
You can Jott to Amazon for…
1) Specific brand names and items.
For example: Trek Mountain Bike
Amazon results will show the top selling items for Trek Mountain bikes.
2) The type of item you are looking for. Following this up with a specific will help narrow your results.
For example: book, John Wood.
Amazon results will show the top selling books by John Wood.
Or…
For example: movies, Coen brothers
Amazon results will show the top selling Coen brothers movies

We are in the midst of a t-shirt competition here at Jott Networks. Ideas are flying around about what our new t-shirt should look like. Doug took a philosophical route, Wes went academic, Nick turned us into a cartoon monster. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for a “Look Ma, no hands!” hands-free text messaging shirt, but I don’t think that’s going to pull through with the tough creative competition in the office.
The point of all of this is… help us help you, have the best Jott t-shirt ever! Leave a comment with your t-shirt concept. If your idea wins, we’ll send you a t-shirt (of course), you’ll have our undying love (we know that’s what you were hoping for!), and bragging rights around Jott Headquarters.

Every day I get lots of questions from people about how Jott actually works. I thought it was about time I stopped and explained all the mechanics behind the magic of Jott. But truth be told, that seemed a little boring to me- so I drew you all a picture instead!

The end of the Daily Jott is here!
It may have taken us awhile, but we got the message loud and clear- a daily email from Jott is NO fun. So, we are going back to the drawing board and revamping our communications with all our fine Jott users.
Starting Friday, November 9th we will be disbanding the Daily Jott. A new and improved version of Jott communication will be released in the near future, complete with frequency settings.
For those of you who enjoy the Daily Jott, you may opt to receive it by logging on to your account, visiting the Settings page, and under the “My Emails” section selecting the “Receive Daily Jott” checkbox. For those of you who couldn’t be happier that this is finally going away, please feel free to share your ideas on ways we can better stay in touch with you.

An Interview with Jonathan
Q: What do you do at Jott Networks?
A: I work in the engineering group here at Jott and get to have my hands on a lot of various aspects of our technology and business. Currently I own several features of the product, manage and architect our database systems, and work with the general architecture and design of our product.
Q: What is your favorite part about working here?
A: The people, the technology, and business are all top notch. Over the years it’s been my experience that the combination of all three is a rare thing. From a personal standpoint though, having the opportunity to help drive the direction of a company that you really believe in provides a level of satisfaction that is hard to find at most companies.
Q: If you were a Jott, would you be a Jott to self, a reminder, or a Jott to someone else?
A: None of the above, I would be a Jott Link of course. Probably a Jott Link to a boat somewhere sunny.
Q: If you were stranded on a desert island and you could only send one Jott, what would it be?
A: Please send rum!
Q: Do you think our office kitchen needs better coffee?
A: Better coffee? No… Better tea? Yes!
Q: Pirate or Ninja?
A: Have to be a pirate! Lit fuses in the beard, a saber, and a bellow.
