If you're trying to buy an iPhone this would be the great time to buy 1. If you're currently on a budget you do not have to buy the 3GS iPhone, if you're looking for basic iPod usage, liberty camera usage and you're not too worried about the space mostly let's say applications, radio, WiFi, it still would be recommended to buy the iPhone 3G. The 3GS gives more gaming capabilities which is not required for everyone.
