JOTT Swimsuit : how to choose the right one for your body type?

Choosing a swimsuit is all about getting to know yourself. There's an ideal model for every figure, and a perfect fit for every desire. Whether you're looking to enhance your curves, lengthen your legs or simply feel good on the beach, the right choice makes all the difference. At JOTT, we've designed our swimwear to fit every body type, without compromising on style or comfort. One-piece, bikini, one-size-fits-all or sheer: follow our advice to find the one that will make you love summer... from the very first fitting!

Women: the right swimsuit to enhance your figure

A swimsuit is often the piece you dread putting on. And yet, well chosen, it can become your best ally. We've imagined cuts that sublimate every silhouette, while leaving the body free to move. You'll feel at ease, whatever your morphology.

You have an A-shaped body (hips wider than shoulders).

When you have an A-shaped silhouette, the ideal is to give a little volume to the upper body while visually lightening the hips. We advise you to play with details at the top: a triangle with ruffles, a contrasting bra, a bright print. On the bottom, keep the lines simple, with discreet panties that don't feature big bows or gathers. Adjustable strings are a real plus: they allow you to adjust without marking.

If you have a V-shaped body (shoulders wider than hips)

In this case, we aim to draw the eye to the lower body. A slightly more graphic bikini bottom, a leg-lengthening high leg effect, or printed panties are perfect. Tops are kept soft: a slender triangle or discreet bra, so as not to add structure where there is already some. Avoid wide bandeaux or straight shapes that tend to accentuate shoulders.

You have an H-shaped body (aligned shoulders and hips, narrow waist).

The challenge here is to break the somewhat "straight" silhouette. To create movement, we advise you to play with cut-outs and details. A one-piece swimsuit with a pretty décolleté or a high-cut back will structure the silhouette. Bikinis with high-waisted bottoms or side ties also create a curved effect. At the top, a shapely bra can add volume if you feel like it, but it's not a must. The important thing is to add contrast, but without rigidity.

You have a figure-8 body shape (balanced shoulders and hips, pronounced waist).

Lucky you, any shape will do! Here, swimwear can emphasize the waist without crushing it. A belted piece or high-waisted bottoms draw out your curves. As for tops, let yourself be tempted by what you like: triangle, bra or bandeau, anything goes. The idea is to follow your desires, with materials that sculpt without compressing. A little advice? If you're hesitating, a one-piece swimsuit with an open back always works.

Men: the swimsuit that matches your figure

Here at swimsuit Man is more than just a pair of beach shorts. It's a summer wardrobe staple that follows you from deckchair to volleyball game to impromptu dives. To choose the right pair, all you need is a little observation... and the courage to say "I always wear the same pair".

You are tall and slender (with a long silhouette and few curves).

Do you have long legs and a slim bust? Good news: you can afford almost anything. To break up the verticality, slightly longer styles likeboard shortsare perfect. They structure the silhouette and give a relaxed, surfwearfeel. When it comes to patterns, go for bright colors, horizontal stripes or monogram prints. The only pitfall to avoid: a swimsuit that's too short, which can make you look even slimmer.

Athletic build (broad shoulders, slim waist)

Your silhouette forms a natural "V": wide bust, narrow waist, muscular but shapely legs. To avoid the "block" effect, it's best not to compress your silhouette. Choose a mid-thigh bikini: neither too short nor too long. Classic Niolon-type models or running versions with contrasting collars highlight without weighing you down. Choose plain colors or small, discreet patterns, to avoid visual overload. And above all, choose a cut with a little ease around the thighs to avoid blocking movement.

You have a fuller figure (visible belly, small waist).

Do you have a generous build, with a tummy or a more even build? The right swimsuit is the one that doesn't squeeze and lets you breathe. Elasticated-waist models are your best allies. We're looking for good support without compression. When it comes to fit, mid-thigh shorts are ideal: they lengthen without cutting. And when it comes to fabric, choose comfortable, quick-drying, lined fabrics. A little style bonus: dark colors or vertical stripes visually refine the silhouette, without effort or filtering.

What about sizing? JOTT makes it easy

Whether you're a woman or Manwe know: choosing the right size can quickly become a headache. That's why we've designed our swimwear to be easy to live with.

For women, most models are available in sizes XS to XL, with tops and bottoms to choose from separately. Perfect if you have a small bust but large hips (or vice versa). And if you're between sizes or looking for an ultra-comfortable model, our one-size-fits-all swimsuit is there for you. Thanks to its stretch waffle fabric, it covers sizes 34 to 44 without constricting or yawning. That's right.

For men, the same logic applies: our swimsuits range from S to 2XL, with fitted but never form-fitting cuts. Medium elastic ensures comfort, and if you're hesitating between two sizes, we always advise you to choose the one in which you can move freely. Because a good swimsuit is one you forget as soon as you put it on!
